4. The harvest that Never came summary

Answer:

How cruel the tricks played by war, he thought, his eyes filling with tears.

Though Arild and his family were nobles of Denmark, they had long lived peaceably in Sweden. When King Erik of Sweden was crowned, Arild had been one of his honored guests. He was captured in battle and imprisoned by King Erik.

Arild’s childhood sweetheart, Thale Thott, had promised to marry him when he came back from the war. Then allow me to stay only long enough to plant a crop and harvest it.

On my word of honor, I will return to your prison as soon as the harvest is gathered.

Arild signed and sealed the letter, then called the jailer.

The reply came the next day. Arild was free—at least until the harvest.

Arild returned home, where Thale met him joyfully. And, in only a few months, Arild would have to harvest his crop and return to King Erik’s prison.

Arild thought long and hard about what he would plant. At last he went to the fields and planted his seeds, placing each of them six paces from the rest.

Late that fall, a messenger arrived from King Erik. “The King awaits your return.”

“But my crop is not harvested,” said Arild. “What did you plant?”

“Pine trees,” replied Arild.

When King Erik heard what Arild had done, he laughed and said, “A man like that does not deserve to be a prisoner.”

Arild was allowed to remain home with his beloved Thale.

14. the gold harvest summary

Soraiden at your service! Thank you for asking your question ^_^

Answer:

- The summary of the story " The Golden Harvest " is that a couple who thought they were working on a way to turn copper into gold ended up earning much more than they anticipated.

* The following are the characters from the story The Golden Harvest:

Nai Hah Tong, Nang Song Sai's son-in-law and husband, wished and worked to find a way to turn red copper into valuable gold.

Nang Song Sai- a very supportive wife to her husband, despite the fact that she knew what he was doing was impossible.

Nang Song Sai's father-in-law, Nai Hah Tong's wise and caring father-in-law, the one who persuaded him to believe in the impossible while achieving the same result they all desired.

* The following are some key points from the story The Golden Harvest:

- The couple got rich by not trying to get rich, thanks to their impossible beliefs.

- Rather than waiting for copper to turn into gold, they had earned and cared for their own wealth through their hard work.

- Nai Hah Tong's father-in-law was wise, and he was able to assist them by saying false words while gaining a great deal more.

The story begins in ancient Ayudhya, where a couple lived. The husband was so determined to turn copper into gold that he experimented with far too many resources and was unable to work frequently. His wife Nang Song Sai, who was worried, asked him to start working, but he refused to deviate from his goal.

She had no choice but to let him do what he needed to do and simply support him in his convictions. Then she went to see her father one day to discuss her husband's behavior. He went on to say that he wants to assist him in achieving his goal.

His father-in-law began speaking to him and persuading him to do certain things, such as harvesting special fuzzes that can only be used if they are self-grown and from a specific banana tree. He then sought advice from a priest and did as he was told. Days passed and he had finished harvesting; however, he was unaware that while he was doing all of these things, his wife sold the majority of the fruits and made a substantial profit.

His father-in-law finally tried to turn copper into gold, but he said he couldn't and told him to look at his and his wife's earnings from the banana trees instead. He then felt like a fool, but he was grateful for him, and he sculpted a statue of his father-in-law out of the fuzzes.
